A note from Melanie

I’m going to be completely honest, I haven’t always felt ‘good’.

I founded my first company at 25, almost by accident. I didn’t set out to be an entrepreneur, and found myself engulfed in a new world of crazy pressures. It was the most exciting time of my life, and I loved it, but it also challenged me.

Adulthood doesn’t come with a guidebook, and so navigating the pressures that come with it can feel incredibly overwhelming. I reached out to my friends for solutions, and they mentioned the same thing – why don’t I try CBD?

Finding my kind of good

We live in an age that glorifies ‘busy-ness’, influence and living your best life – but when do we take time to focus on what actually makes us feel good? Over the past few years, I’ve seen seven of my close friends diagnosed with anxiety or depression. We’re told to deal with it, to meditate, to listen to a podcast and get on with our lives. I wanted more than that.

Part of the solution for me was CBD. Within a few weeks of taking it, I started to feel that balance coming back. For the first time in a long time, I felt good.

And Pollen was born

I began to research CBD products, but I drowned in the noise. I wanted quality CBD products that could easily fit into my daily routine. I wanted CBD products that tasted amazing, and felt like a treat. I wanted to take what I had already learnt developing products in my first business, and create an innovative CBD brand that people could trust. I wanted a safe space for this community of caring, curious people to talk openly and feel supported. And so, Pollen was born.
